Nati a Philadelphia nel 1982, i Cinderella si sono imposti come una delle band più originali del panorama glam metal americano. Fondati da Tom Keifer (voce e chitarra) e Eric Brittingham (basso), si sono distinti fin da subito per un sound che univa l’energia dell’hard rock alle radici profonde del blues.
Il nome, curioso e provocatorio, non deriva dalla celebre fiaba: secondo alcune fonti, fu ispirato da un film vietato ai minori; altri racconti lo attribuiscono al gatto di Michael Kelly Smith, chitarrista della prima formazione.
