L’Ozzfest tornerà negli Stati Uniti nel 2027. La conferma è arrivata oggi attraverso i canali social ufficiali del festival, che ha annunciato il ritorno della storica manifestazione anche sul territorio americano, dopo la già annunciata edizione britannica.
L’annuncio arriva con un breve teaser che mostra Ozzy Osbourne, il logo dell’Ozzfest e le bandiere di Regno Unito e Stati Uniti, accompagnato dal messaggio: “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US”. Al momento, tuttavia, non sono ancora stati comunicati né la città né la sede dell’edizione americana, mentre ulteriori dettagli sono attesi prossimamente.
Il ritorno negli Stati Uniti si inserisce nella più ampia rinascita dell’Ozzfest, il festival fondato negli anni Novanta da Ozzy e Sharon Osbourne, diventato negli anni uno degli appuntamenti più importanti della scena hard rock e metal internazionale. La manifestazione ha contribuito anche a dare visibilità a numerose band emergenti, tra cui System Of A Down, Slipknot e Disturbed, affermatesi proprio durante l'esplosione del metal degli anni Novanta e Duemila.
L’ultima edizione statunitense dell’Ozzfest si è svolta nel 2018 a Inglewood, in California, come evento singolo. Il festival era nato nel 1996 come manifestazione itinerante e, nel corso della sua storia, aveva ospitato alcuni dei nomi più importanti del rock e del metal internazionale.
Per il 2027 è già stata annunciata anche un’edizione nel Regno Unito, prevista a Villa Park, Birmingham, città natale di Ozzy Osbourne e sede dello storico concerto “Back To The Beginning” del 5 luglio 2025. Proprio quell’evento aveva rappresentato l’ultima esibizione dal vivo di Ozzy e dei Black Sabbath.
Per quanto riguarda il nuovo Ozzfest, non sono ancora stati ufficializzati gli artisti della line-up né l’headliner. Jack Osbourne aveva anticipato che l’edizione 2027 dovrebbe avere una formula concentrata in una sola giornata e che il festival continuerà a riservare spazio anche a nuovi talenti.
Il ritorno dell’Ozzfest segna quindi una nuova fase nella storia di uno dei festival che hanno maggiormente contribuito alla diffusione dell’hard rock e del metal negli ultimi trent’anni. Dopo la conferma del Regno Unito, l’annuncio odierno ufficializza anche il ritorno negli Stati Uniti: per conoscere sede, data e protagonisti dell’edizione americana bisognerà però attendere i prossimi annunci degli organizzatori.

Ozzfest Will Return to the U.S. in 2027
The Ozzfest will return to the United States in 2027. The confirmation arrived today through the festival’s official social channels, which announced the comeback of the historic event on American soil as well, following the already revealed UK edition.
The announcement comes with a short teaser showing Ozzy Osbourne, the Ozzfest logo, and the flags of the United Kingdom and the United States, accompanied by the message: “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US.” At the moment, however, neither the city nor the venue of the American edition has been revealed, with further details expected soon.
The return to the United States is part of the broader revival of Ozzfest, the festival founded in the Nineties by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, which over the years became one of the most important events in the international hard rock and metal scene. The festival also helped give visibility to numerous emerging bands, including System Of A Down, Slipknot and Disturbed, who rose to prominence during the explosion of metal in the late Nineties and early 2000s.
The last U.S. edition of Ozzfest took place in 2018 in Inglewood, California, as a single event. The festival was born in 1996 as a traveling tour and, throughout its history, hosted some of the biggest names in international rock and metal.
For 2027, a UK edition has already been announced as well, scheduled at Villa Park in Birmingham, Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown and the site of the historic “Back To The Beginning” concert on July 5, 2025. That event marked the final live performance of Ozzy and Black Sabbath.
As for the new Ozzfest, the artists on the line‑up and the headliner have not yet been confirmed. Jack Osbourne previously hinted that the 2027 edition should follow a one‑day format and that the festival will continue to give space to new talent.
The return of Ozzfest therefore marks a new chapter in the history of one of the festivals that has most contributed to the spread of hard rock and metal over the past thirty years. After the confirmation of the UK edition, today’s announcement also makes the U.S. comeback official — though fans will have to wait for the organizers’ next updates to learn the venue, date and artists of the American edition.
