Brandon Flowers torna protagonista con il suo terzo album solista, “THRASHER”, pubblicato il 21 agosto 2026 per Island Records. Il disco arriva a oltre dieci anni di distanza dal precedente The Desired Effect e rappresenta una nuova e importante tappa nella carriera del frontman dei The Killers.
Con THRASHER, Flowers sceglie di allontanarsi in parte dalle atmosfere pop-rock che hanno caratterizzato i The Killers per immergersi nel country, nel country-western e nell’americana, generi profondamente legati alla sua formazione musicale e ai ricordi della sua infanzia nello Utah. Il disco è stato registrato a Nashville, nello storico RCA Studio A, insieme ai produttori Shawn Everett e Jonathan Rado, e vede la partecipazione di alcuni musicisti di grande esperienza della scena country e americana. Tra questi ci sono il chitarrista David Rawlings, il leggendario armonicista Charlie McCoy e il celebre pedal steel player Bruce Bouton.
Le dieci tracce dell’album raccontano storie di persone, luoghi, ricordi e aspirazioni, con Flowers che mette al centro una scrittura più intima e personale. La scaletta comprende “Does It Ever Cross Your Mind?”, “One Of Us”, “Tiger’s Blood”, “Plans”, “Paradise”, “Miss America”, “Angel”, “The Red Ground”, “In A Heartbeat” e “An American Dream”.
Il cambiamento di direzione non arriva però dal nulla. Già in alcuni momenti della produzione dei The Killers e nei suoi precedenti lavori solisti erano emerse influenze country e americana. Con THRASHER, Flowers decide però di portare queste sonorità in primo piano, trasformandole nel cuore dell'intero progetto.
L’album guarda soprattutto alla sua giovinezza a Nephi, nello Utah, e alla musica con cui è cresciuto grazie alla famiglia, riscoprendo atmosfere, personaggi e paesaggi dell’America più tradizionale. È proprio questo legame con il passato a rendere THRASHER uno dei lavori più personali della carriera di Flowers.

Brandon Flowers steps back into the spotlight with his third solo album, THRASHER, released on August 21, 2026 via Island Records.
The record arrives more than ten years after The Desired Effect and marks a new, significant chapter in the career of the frontman of The Killers.
With THRASHER, Flowers moves away from the pop‑rock atmospheres that have defined The Killers, diving instead into country, country‑western and americana — genres deeply tied to his musical upbringing and childhood memories in Utah. The result is a personal, narrative album rooted in the artist’s American heritage.
The record was tracked in Nashville at the historic RCA Studio A, with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, and features contributions from seasoned musicians in the country and americana world. Among them are guitarist David Rawlings, legendary harmonica player Charlie McCoy, and renowned pedal steel player Bruce Bouton.
