Il grande rock ha fatto tappa l' 11 agosto 2026, al Teatro Antico di Tindari, a Patti, in provincia di Messina, con uno degli appuntamenti più interessanti dell’estate musicale siciliana. Sul palco è salito il power trio formato da Stef Burns, Andrea Torresani e Will Hunt, protagonisti di un concerto dedicato ai grandi classici della storia del rock.
L’appuntamento, iniziato alle ore 21:30, era inserito nel Summer Rock Explosion Tour 2026 e rappresentava uno degli eventi della preview estiva della rassegna “Il Sorriso degli Dei”, organizzata nella suggestiva cornice del Parco Archeologico di Tindari. Una serata pensata per mettere in dialogo la forza della musica contemporanea con il fascino e la storia millenaria del Teatro Greco.
Il progetto ha riunito tre musicisti di grande esperienza, provenienti da percorsi artistici differenti ma accomunati da una profonda conoscenza del rock internazionale. Alla chitarra c’era Stef Burns, musicista californiano noto al grande pubblico soprattutto per la sua lunga collaborazione con Vasco Rossi, del quale è uno dei chitarristi storici. Burns vanta inoltre una prestigiosa esperienza internazionale e ha fatto parte, tra le altre collaborazioni, della band di Alice Cooper.
Al basso, Andrea Torresani, musicista italiano apprezzato per la sua attività con Vasco Rossi e per le numerose esperienze maturate come session musician. Il suo contributo ha rappresentato una componente fondamentale dell’impianto ritmico del trio, insieme alla batteria di Will Hunt.
Hunt, batterista statunitense, è conosciuto a livello internazionale per la sua attività con gli Evanescence, formazione di riferimento dell’alternative metal americano. Il suo stile energico e potente ha completato una formazione costruita proprio sull’interazione tra chitarra, basso e batteria e sulla forza espressiva della dimensione live.
Il concerto ha avuto come filo conduttore “Omaggio al Classic Rock”, un viaggio musicale attraverso le sonorità e i grandi brani che hanno contribuito a definire la storia del genere. L’idea del progetto è quella di reinterpretare questo patrimonio musicale attraverso la personalità dei tre protagonisti, unendo tecnica, esperienza e una forte componente spettacolare.
Particolarmente suggestiva è stata la cornice scelta per l’appuntamento. Il Teatro Antico di Tindari, con la sua posizione panoramica sul Golfo di Patti, ha ospitato il power trio all’interno di un cartellone che punta a valorizzare il patrimonio archeologico attraverso la musica e gli spettacoli dal vivo. La rassegna “Il Sorriso degli Dei” propone infatti un programma che attraversa generi e linguaggi differenti, trasformando il teatro storico di Tindari in un palcoscenico capace di accogliere musica, opera e grandi produzioni.
La data dell' 11 agosto 2026, ha rappresentato inoltre una delle tappe del Summer Rock Explosion Tour 2026, progetto che ha portato Burns, Torresani e Hunt in diverse location italiane nel corso del mese di agosto. Il tour prosegue quindi il suo percorso dopo l’appuntamento siciliano, confermando la volontà dei tre musicisti di portare dal vivo un repertorio costruito intorno alle radici e alla storia del rock.
La serata di Tindari ha così unito tre elementi distintivi: una formazione composta da musicisti di primo piano, un repertorio dedicato al Classic Rock e una location di straordinario valore storico e paesaggistico. Un incontro tra passato e presente nel quale il linguaggio universale del rock è entrato in dialogo con uno dei luoghi più suggestivi della Sicilia.
Con Stef Burns alla chitarra, Andrea Torresani al basso e Will Hunt alla batteria, il Teatro Antico di Tindari ha quindi ospitato ieri sera una nuova tappa di un progetto che guarda alla grande tradizione del rock senza rinunciare all’energia e alla personalità dei suoi protagonisti.
Una serata che ha confermato ancora una volta quanto il rock, anche a distanza di decenni dalla nascita dei suoi grandi classici, continui a trovare nuovi interpreti, nuovi palchi e nuovi pubblici.

TINDARI, THE CLASSIC ROCK OF BURNS, TORRESANI AND HUNT
Great rock music took center stage on 11 August 2026 at the Ancient Theatre of Tindari, in Patti (Messina), with one of the most compelling events of Sicily’s summer concert season. The stage hosted the power trio formed by Stef Burns, Andrea Torresani and Will Hunt, protagonists of a show dedicated to the great classics of rock history.
The event, which began at 9:30 p.m., was part of the Summer Rock Explosion Tour 2026 and served as one of the preview dates of the festival Il Sorriso degli Dei, held in the evocative setting of the Tindari Archaeological Park. The evening was designed to bring contemporary musical energy into dialogue with the millennia‑old charm of the Greek Theatre.
The project brought together three highly experienced musicians, each with different artistic backgrounds but united by a deep knowledge of international rock. On guitar was Stef Burns, the California‑born musician widely known for his long collaboration with Vasco Rossi, of whom he is one of the historic guitarists. Burns also boasts an impressive international résumé, having played — among other collaborations — in Alice Cooper’s band.

The 11 August date was also one of the stops of the Summer Rock Explosion Tour 2026, a project that brought Burns, Torresani and Hunt to various Italian locations throughout August.
