Metallica are turning the spotlight on Las Vegas' Sphere today with the debut of “Life Burns Faster,” the band's first-ever residency at the spectacular immersive venue in Nevada. The highly anticipated event brings Metallica's brand of heavy metal into a space specifically designed to merge music, visuals, and cutting-edge audiovisual technology.
The project includes 24 performances, spread across October and November 2026 and January through March 2027, with the final show scheduled for March 13, 2027. The residency will also follow the band's popular “No Repeat Weekends” format, meaning fans attending both shows of a two-night run will experience completely different setlists without hearing the same song twice.
The Sphere represents a new challenge for James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo. Since opening in 2023, the venue has become famous for its immense interior screen, immersive audio system, and groundbreaking visual effects designed to surround audiences.
