FOO FIGHTERS AND AC/DC: ROCK DOUBLES UP AT METLIFE
International rock heavyweights are teaming up once again at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. On October 2, Foo Fighters will join AC/DC as special guests for a stop on the legendary band's Power Up Tour, bringing two of the biggest names in rock together on the same stage for one unforgettable night.
The event carries particular significance because it is a rescheduled show. AC/DC's original MetLife Stadium performance was set for September 25, but was postponed due to severe weather conditions affecting the New York and New Jersey area. The concert will now take place on October 2, with all tickets purchased for the original date remaining valid.
For Foo Fighters, this marks their second collaboration with AC/DC in just a matter of weeks. Dave Grohl's band previously opened for the Australian rock icons in St. Louis on September 8, stepping in for The Pretty Reckless. That appearance brought together two generations of stadium rock powerhouses, and the partnership is now set to continue in front of a New Jersey audience.
The opportunity is especially meaningful for Dave Grohl, who has long spoken about his admiration for AC/DC. Sharing the stage once again with one of rock's most influential bands offers another chance to celebrate the connection between different generations of musicians and the enduring legacy of arena-sized rock and roll.
At MetLife Stadium, the evening will begin with the explosive energy of the Foo Fighters before handing over the spotlight to AC/DC and their catalogue of timeless anthems. For the Australian legends, the October 2 performance will also serve as the final North American date of the Power Up Tour, making the rescheduled show an even more anticipated occasion.
The lineup brings together two bands with distinct musical identities but a shared passion for unforgettable live performances. On one side is the modern rock force of Foo Fighters; on the other, the unmistakable hard rock machine that is AC/DC. Together, they form a combination designed to appeal to rock fans of every generation.
The concert is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting events on the international rock calendar. For the audience at MetLife Stadium, it will be a rare opportunity to witness two powerhouse bands in one night, united by massive riffs, crowd-pleasing anthems, and decades of rock history.
Foo Fighters and AC/DC are sharing the bill once again. And this time, rock really does double up at MetLife Stadium.
