Il suo stile, potente ma estremamente preciso, ha accompagnato una performance che ha riportato i Pearl Jam davanti al pubblico dopo una lunga pausa dai palchi.
Resta però da chiarire quale sarà il suo ruolo futuro nella band. Durante il concerto Vedder lo ha presentato come musicista che stava “filling in”, lasciando intendere che si trattasse di una sostituzione e non necessariamente di una nomina definitiva. Al momento, quindi, non è arrivata una conferma ufficiale sul nuovo batterista permanente dei Pearl Jam.

Laboriel Jr., best known for his long-running live collaboration with Paul McCartney, stepped in on drums following the departure of Matt Cameron, who ended his 27‑year tenure with Pearl Jam in July 2025.
