I Queens of the Stone Age hanno pubblicato ieri, 23 settembre 2026, il nuovo singolo “Where The Goth Girls At?”, terzo brano estratto dal prossimo album “Perfecth”, atteso il 30 ottobre su Matador Records.
Il brano nasce dai ricordi di Josh Homme legati alla sua adolescenza nei sobborghi di Palm Desert, in California, e racconta con ironia e una certa nostalgia l'amore adolescenziale, l'attrazione per la cultura goth e il desiderio di impressionare gli altri. Musicalmente, il pezzo alterna riff minimali e ruvidi a un ritornello esplosivo, arricchito da arrangiamenti di archi e fiati.
Il singolo arriva accompagnato da un nuovo videoclip ufficiale, diretto da Christopher Gruse e Tony Wolski, gli stessi registi del precedente video di “Easy Street”. Nel filmato compaiono, insieme ai membri della band, il comico Steve Agee, l'artista e performer Scarlett Kapella e la cantante e attrice Lou Lou Safran.
“Where The Goth Girls At?” segue “Easy Street” e “Insignificant Other”, i due singoli che avevano già anticipato il nuovo progetto. Perfecth sarà il nono album in studio dei Queens of the Stone Age e arriverà a tre anni di distanza da In Times New Roman….
Il nuovo disco è stato prodotto da Josh Homme e Michael Shuman e conterrà nove brani. Secondo Homme, ogni canzone è stata concepita come un piccolo mondo sonoro differente, con un filo conduttore rappresentato dalle diverse forme dell'amore, della passione, della follia e delle esperienze che accompagnano la crescita.
Anche il titolo Perfecth nasce da questa idea: Homme ha spiegato di considerare la parola “perfect” poco adatta a descrivere la realtà, trasformandola quindi in un termine nuovo e volutamente imperfetto. L'album è stato realizzato attraverso sessioni registrate tra New Orleans e Los Angeles, con atmosfere che spaziano dal minaccioso al più delicato e sperimentale.
I Queens of the Stone Age sono inoltre attualmente impegnati dal vivo: dopo l'appuntamento al Bourbon & Beyond di Louisville del 24 settembre, la band chiuderà il 26 settembre a Las Vegas, all'Allegiant Stadium, il periodo di concerti insieme ai Foo Fighters. Successivamente sono previste nuove date internazionali, in attesa dell'uscita dell'album.
Con “Where The Goth Girls At?” i Queens of the Stone Age aggiungono così un nuovo tassello al percorso verso Perfecth, aumentando l'attesa per il ritorno discografico della band. L'appuntamento è fissato al 30 ottobre 2026, quando il nuovo album arriverà ufficialmente nei negozi e sulle piattaforme digitali.

Queens of the Stone Age, Here’s the New Single
On 23 September 2026, Queens of the Stone Age released their new single “Where The Goth Girls At?”, the third track taken from their upcoming album “Perfecth”, expected on 30 October via Matador Records.
The song draws from Josh Homme’s teenage memories in the suburbs of Palm Desert, California, and tells—with irony and a touch of nostalgia—of adolescent love, the pull of goth culture, and the desire to impress others. Musically, the track shifts between minimal, gritty riffs and an explosive chorus enriched with string and horn arrangements.
The single arrives together with a new official video, directed by Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski, the same filmmakers behind the previous “Easy Street” clip. The video features, alongside the band members, comedian Steve Agee, artist and performer Scarlett Kapella, and singer‑actress Lou Lou Safran.
“Where The Goth Girls At?” follows “Easy Street” and “Insignificant Other”, the two singles that had already previewed the new project. Perfecth will be Queens of the Stone Age’s ninth studio album, arriving three years after In Times New Roman….
The new record was produced by Josh Homme and Michael Shuman and will include nine tracks. According to Homme, each song was conceived as its own sonic world, tied together by a thread exploring different forms of love, passion, madness, and the experiences that shape personal growth.
Even the title Perfecth stems from this idea: Homme explained that he considers the word “perfect” poorly suited to describe reality, reshaping it into a new, deliberately imperfect term. The album was crafted through recording sessions between New Orleans and Los Angeles, with atmospheres ranging from menacing to delicate and experimental.
Queens of the Stone Age are also currently on the road: after their 24 September appearance at Louisville’s Bourbon & Beyond, the band will close their run with Foo Fighters on 26 September at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. More international dates are planned ahead of the album’s release.
With “Where The Goth Girls At?”, Queens of the Stone Age add another piece to the path leading to Perfecth, further building anticipation for the band’s return. The date is set for 30 October 2026, when the new album will officially arrive in stores and on digital platforms.
