I Dirty Honey aprono un nuovo capitolo della loro carriera con “Lights Out” e “Butterfly”, i due singoli scelti per anticipare “Catch My Butterfly”, il terzo album in studio della band californiana. Il disco è atteso per il 15 gennaio 2027 e rappresenterà il seguito di “Can’t Find The Brakes”, pubblicato nel 2023.
I due brani mostrano due lati differenti della formazione composta da Marc LaBelle, John Notto e Justin Smolian. “Lights Out” si muove su un terreno energico e decisamente rock, costruito su riff di chitarra, basso incisivo e un assolo firmato da Notto. “Butterfly”, invece, introduce atmosfere più intime e riflessive, con chitarre acustiche e arrangiamenti più delicati.
Proprio “Butterfly” rappresenta uno dei momenti più personali di questa nuova fase. LaBelle ha spiegato che il brano nasce anche da esperienze legate alla dipendenza all'interno della propria famiglia e racconta la preoccupazione di chi si trova a vivere accanto a una persona che sta affrontando questo problema. Un approccio più intimo che evidenzia l'evoluzione della scrittura della band.
“Catch My Butterfly” è stato prodotto da John Feldmann, produttore noto per il lavoro con artisti come Blink-182 e Yungblud. L'album sarà composto da 14 tracce e, secondo quanto dichiarato dalla band, punta ad ampliare ulteriormente il linguaggio musicale dei Dirty Honey, mantenendo però intatta l'energia rock che ha caratterizzato il loro percorso.
La nuova uscita arriva dopo una crescita costante iniziata con il successo di “When I'm Gone”, brano che nel 2019 ha portato i Dirty Honey a diventare il primo artista senza contratto discografico a raggiungere il primo posto nella classifica Billboard Mainstream Rock. Il debutto omonimo è arrivato nel 2021, seguito da “Can’t Find The Brakes”, entrato al secondo posto della Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums.
Negli ultimi anni la band ha consolidato la propria presenza sulla scena internazionale anche attraverso una lunga attività dal vivo, condividendo il palco con alcuni dei nomi più importanti del rock contemporaneo. Dirty Honey, Two New Singles Preview “Catch My Butterfly”
Dirty Honey open a new chapter in their career with “Lights Out” and “Butterfly”, the two singles chosen to preview “Catch My Butterfly”, the Californian band’s third studio album. The record is set for release on January 15, 2027 and will follow “Can’t Find The Brakes”, issued in 2023.
The two tracks showcase different sides of the trio formed by Marc LaBelle, John Notto and Justin Smolian. “Lights Out” moves on energetic, straight‑ahead rock territory, built on guitar riffs, punchy bass lines and a solo signed by Notto. “Butterfly”, on the other hand, introduces a more intimate and reflective atmosphere, with acoustic guitars and more delicate arrangements.
“Butterfly” stands out as one of the most personal moments of this new phase. LaBelle explained that the song also stems from experiences related to addiction within his own family, portraying the concern of someone living alongside a person facing that struggle. A more intimate approach that highlights the band’s evolving songwriting.
“Catch My Butterfly” was produced by John Feldmann, known for his work with artists such as Blink‑182 and Yungblud. The album will feature 14 tracks and, according to the band, aims to further expand Dirty Honey’s musical language while keeping intact the rock energy that has defined their path.
The new release arrives after a steady rise that began with the success of “When I’m Gone”, the 2019 single that made Dirty Honey the first unsigned artist ever to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Their self‑titled debut followed in 2021, then “Can’t Find The Brakes”, which entered at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
In recent years, the band has strengthened its presence on the international scene through extensive touring, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in contemporary rock.
