SCORPIONS, THE 2026 TOUR IS POSTPONED: THE BAND WILL RETURN IN 2027
Bad news for Scorpions fans. The legendary German band has announced the postponement of the final shows scheduled for 2026, forcing the group to move a significant portion of its live calendar to 2027. The decision affects 11 concerts across Mexico and the United States and was explained by the band as due to generic “unforeseen circumstances,” with no further details provided.
The postponement comes in the middle of the celebrations for the Scorpions’ 60th anniversary, launched with the project Coming Home – 60 Years of Scorpions. It’s a particularly meaningful milestone for a band that, from the Seventies onward, helped bring German hard rock to stages around the world.
Among the dates removed from the 2026 schedule are three concerts in Mexico, originally planned between 7 and 13 September, and — most notably — the new Las Vegas residency titled Coming Home To Las Vegas. The eight shows were set to take place at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from 17 September to 3 October.
The Las Vegas residency was one of the most important events of the entire program. The Scorpions had already won over the city’s audience with three previous series of shows, and this new run was also set to feature Buckcherry as special guests.
The band told fans they were deeply sorry for the postponement but confirmed their intention to return to Las Vegas in September 2027. The new residency dates have already been scheduled for 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23 and 25 September 2027, once again at PH Live at Planet Hollywood.
The three Mexican concerts have also been rescheduled. Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey will return to the Scorpions’ calendar in 2027, on 27 August, 30 August and 2 September, respectively.
Despite the setback, 2026 had already been an intense year for the band. Before this latest postponement, the Scorpions had completed a series of international shows and wrapped up a six‑week European tour on 31 July. Earlier in the spring, the four dates planned in India had also been postponed due to medical circumstances involving some band members.
Despite the difficulties, the Coming Home – 60 Years of Scorpions project has not been cancelled. On the contrary, the band has announced that they are working on new European concerts for 2027, which will continue the celebrations for their six decades of history. Details on the new European dates will be revealed later.
Formed in Hannover in the Sixties, the Scorpions have become one of the most important bands in international hard rock thanks to songs like “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “Still Loving You” and “Wind of Change”. Their ability to span multiple generations has turned them into a true institution of global rock.
For now, fans will have to wait. The Scorpions’ big return to Las Vegas has been pushed back by a year, but the band is already looking ahead to 2027 — ready to continue celebrating their 60‑year legacy and to hit the stage once again with all the power of their hard rock.
2026 ends earlier than expected for the Scorpions, but the journey continues: see you in 2027.
