I Giöbia tornano on the road e si preparano a portare il loro inconfondibile rock psichedelico oltre i confini italiani. La band milanese ha annunciato il nuovo “Euro Tour 2026”, una serie di concerti che nel mese di settembre attraverserà diversi Paesi europei, confermando la dimensione internazionale raggiunta dal gruppo nel corso degli anni.
Attivi dalla seconda metà degli anni Duemila, i Giöbia sono oggi una delle realtà più riconoscibili della scena heavy psych italiana. La loro musica nasce dall’incontro tra rock psichedelico, acid rock, space rock, krautrock e influenze provenienti dalla grande stagione musicale tra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta. Chitarre ipnotiche, organi, sintetizzatori, basso e batteria costruiscono un sound potente e immersivo, capace di alternare momenti più dilatati e visionari a passaggi decisamente più energici.
Il percorso della band è legato soprattutto alla capacità di reinterpretare la psichedelia classica attraverso una sensibilità contemporanea. Nel corso della carriera i Giöbia hanno pubblicato album come “Hard Stories”, “Introducing Night Sounds”, “The Magnifier”, “Plasmatic Idol” e “Acid Disorder”, costruendo progressivamente una reputazione anche al di fuori dell’Italia. Nel 2021 è arrivato inoltre lo split album “The Intergalactic Connection – Exploring The Sideral Remote Hyperspace”, realizzato insieme ai The Cosmic Dead.
L’ultimo capitolo discografico è “X-ÆON”, pubblicato nell’ottobre 2025 da Heavy Psych Sounds. Il disco prosegue la ricerca sonora della band e conferma la sua capacità di muoversi tra atmosfere cosmiche, psichedelia, distorsioni e suggestioni space rock, mantenendo sempre una forte componente analogica e un’identità riconoscibile.
La formazione attuale comprende Stefano “Bazu” Basurto alla chitarra e alla voce, Paolo “Detrji” Basurto al basso, Melissa Crema agli organi e sintetizzatori e Pietro D’Ambrosio alla batteria. Sul palco, il quartetto porta questa miscela sonora verso una dimensione ancora più fisica e coinvolgente, trasformando le lunghe trame psichedeliche in vere e proprie esperienze immersive.
Il nuovo tour prenderà il via sabato 5 settembre 2026 a Pusztazámor, in Ungheria, al Jam In The Psych Castle. Il giorno successivo la band sarà al Cross Club di Praga, in Repubblica Ceca, mentre lunedì 7 settembre è previsto il concerto alla B.L.O. Kantine di Berlino.
Martedì 8 settembre i Giöbia raggiungeranno Copenaghen, in Danimarca, per esibirsi al Lygsten Kro. Il tour proseguirà quindi in Germania con quattro appuntamenti consecutivi: il 9 settembre a Halle, all’Hühnermanhattan; il 10 settembre a Kronach, al Tiger Lounge; l’11 settembre a Chemnitz, all’AJZ Talschock; e il 12 settembre a Brema, allo ZfK Bunker.
L’ultima data della parte europea è fissata per domenica 13 settembre a Tubinga, al Lu15. Dopo la lunga serie di concerti internazionali, i Giöbia torneranno in Italia sabato 19 settembre, con un appuntamento al Platza Open di Bolzano.

Giöbia, Italian Psychedelic Rock Takes Over Europe: September Tour Announced
Giöbia are back on the road and ready to take their unmistakable psychedelic rock beyond Italy’s borders. The Milan‑based band has announced the new “Euro Tour 2026”, a series of concerts that will travel across several European countries throughout September, confirming the international dimension the group has achieved over the years.
Active since the second half of the 2000s, Giöbia are now one of the most recognizable names in the Italian heavy psych scene. Their music emerges from the meeting point between psychedelic rock, acid rock, space rock, krautrock and influences drawn from the great musical season of the Sixties and Seventies. Hypnotic guitars, organs, synthesizers, bass and drums build a powerful, immersive sound capable of shifting from expansive, visionary moments to decidedly more energetic passages.
The band’s journey is closely tied to their ability to reinterpret classic psychedelia through a contemporary sensibility. Over the course of their career, Giöbia have released albums such as “Hard Stories”, “Introducing Night Sounds”, “The Magnifier”, “Plasmatic Idol” and “Acid Disorder”, gradually building a reputation beyond Italy. In 2021, they also released the split album “The Intergalactic Connection – Exploring The Sideral Remote Hyperspace”, created together with The Cosmic Dead.
Their latest record is “X‑ÆON”, released in October 2025 by Heavy Psych Sounds. The album continues the band’s sonic exploration, confirming their ability to move between cosmic atmospheres, psychedelia, distortion and space‑rock suggestions, while maintaining a strong analog component and a distinctive identity.
The current lineup features Stefano “Bazu” Basurto on guitar and vocals, Paolo “Detrji” Basurto on bass, Melissa Crema on organs and synthesizers, and Pietro D’Ambrosio on drums. On stage, the quartet pushes this sonic blend into an even more physical and engaging dimension, transforming long psychedelic textures into fully immersive experiences.
The new tour will kick off on Saturday 5 September 2026 in Pusztazámor, Hungary, at Jam In The Psych Castle. The following day, the band will perform at Cross Club in Prague, Czech Republic, while on Monday 7 September they will play at B.L.O. Kantine in Berlin.
On Tuesday 8 September, Giöbia will reach Copenhagen, Denmark, for a show at Lygsten Kro. The tour will then continue in Germany with four consecutive dates: 9 September in Halle at Hühnermanhattan; 10 September in Kronach at Tiger Lounge; 11 September in Chemnitz at AJZ Talschock; and 12 September in Bremen at ZfK Bunker.
The final European date is set for Sunday 13 September in Tübingen, at Lu15. After the long international run, Giöbia will return to Italy on Saturday 19 September, performing at Platza Open in Bolzano.
