I Fear Factory sono pronti ad aprire una nuova fase della loro storia con “Roboticist”, il nuovo singolo che sarà pubblicato sabato 29 agosto 2026. Il brano rappresenta un appuntamento importante per la band californiana, perché sarà la prima uscita ufficiale in studio con il cantante italiano Milo Silvestro e il batterista Pete Webber, entrambi entrati nella formazione nel 2023.
Nati a Los Angeles nel 1989, i Fear Factory hanno avuto un ruolo fondamentale nello sviluppo dell'industrial metal, costruendo negli anni un sound inconfondibile dove metal estremo, groove, elettronica e atmosfere futuristiche convivono con una precisione quasi meccanica. A guidare il progetto è da sempre il chitarrista e compositore Dino Cazares, figura centrale nell'evoluzione musicale della band.
Il gruppo ha raggiunto una dimensione internazionale soprattutto con album come “Demanufacture” del 1995 e “Obsolete” del 1998, diventati punti di riferimento per il metal degli anni Novanta. La loro musica ha spesso affrontato temi legati al rapporto tra uomo e tecnologia, all'intelligenza artificiale, alla meccanizzazione e a un futuro nel quale il confine tra essere umano e macchina diventa sempre più sottile.
“Roboticist” nasce da un'idea già presentata nel 2023 in una versione strumentale realizzata per promuovere un software dedicato alle sonorità di chitarra. Il brano è stato successivamente rielaborato dalla band, con nuovi arrangiamenti e l'inserimento della parte vocale, fino a diventare il primo vero singolo della nuova formazione. Il pezzo anticipa inoltre il prossimo album dei Fear Factory, seguito di “Aggression Continuum” del 2021.
Grande attenzione è naturalmente rivolta a Milo Silvestro, chiamato a raccogliere l'eredità di Burton C. Bell, storico frontman del gruppo fino alla sua uscita nel 2020. Il cantante italiano ha ormai alle spalle diversi anni di attività con i Fear Factory e, oltre all'impegno dal vivo, ha partecipato anche alla fase creativa del nuovo materiale, contribuendo alla scrittura dei testi.
“Roboticist” arriverà proprio nel giorno dell'inizio del Cybernetic Domination European Tour 2026, con la prima data fissata per il 29 agosto in Polonia. Il singolo segna quindi un passaggio importante: dopo più di tre decenni di carriera, i Fear Factory continuano a guardare avanti senza rinunciare agli elementi che hanno definito la loro identità. Con una formazione rinnovata e una nuova voce, la band torna così a esplorare il proprio universo sonoro fatto di potenza, tecnologia e visioni del futuro.

Fear Factory Release “Roboticist”: The First Single Featuring Milo Silvestro
Fear Factory are ready to open a new chapter in their history with Roboticist, the new single set for release on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The track marks an important milestone for the Californian band, as it will be the first official studio release featuring Italian vocalist Milo Silvestro and drummer Pete Webber, both of whom joined the lineup in 2023.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1989, Fear Factory have played a crucial role in shaping industrial metal, building over the years a distinctive sound where extreme metal, groove, electronics and futuristic atmospheres coexist with almost mechanical precision. The project has always been led by guitarist and composer Dino Cazares, a central figure in the band’s musical evolution.
The group reached international prominence with albums such as Demanufacture (1995) and Obsolete (1998), which became defining works for Nineties metal. Their music has often explored themes related to the relationship between humans and technology, artificial intelligence, mechanization and a future in which the boundary between human and machine grows increasingly thin.
Roboticist originated from an idea first presented in 2023 as an instrumental piece created to promote a guitar‑sound software. The track was later reworked by the band with new arrangements and the addition of vocals, eventually becoming the first true single of the renewed lineup. It also serves as a preview of Fear Factory’s upcoming album, the follow‑up to Aggression Continuum (2021).
Much of the attention naturally focuses on Milo Silvestro, who has been tasked with carrying the legacy of Burton C. Bell, the band’s longtime frontman until his departure in 2020. The Italian singer now has several years of activity with Fear Factory behind him and, beyond his live work, has contributed to the creative process of the new material, including lyric writing.
Roboticist will be released on the very day the Cybernetic Domination European Tour 2026 begins, with the first show scheduled for August 29 in Poland. The single therefore marks a significant transition: after more than three decades of career, Fear Factory continue to look forward without abandoning the elements that have defined their identity. With a renewed lineup and a new voice, the band returns to explore its sonic universe made of power, technology and visions of the future.
