A novembre arriverà una nuova tranche di date, con concerti insieme a Kurt Vile and the Violators, compreso un atteso ritorno nella città natale di New Orleans.
Il calendario si concluderà a dicembre con quattro appuntamenti in Australia, tra Melbourne, Meredith, Brisbane e Sydney. Un percorso che fotografa perfettamente la crescita del duo: dai piccoli circuiti underground di New Orleans ai palchi internazionali, passando per collaborazioni e aperture a nomi affermati della scena rock.
La forza dei Twisted Teens sta proprio nella loro capacità di trasformare influenze apparentemente diverse in un linguaggio personale, sporco e immediatamente riconoscibile. La firma con Sub Pop e il nuovo tour confermano che il progetto è ormai pronto per una platea molto più ampia.

Twisted Teens sign with Sub Pop: the band also announces a new tour
Twisted Teens open a new chapter in their young career with their signing to Sub Pop, the historic Seattle indie label that has written essential pages in the history of alternative rock. For the New Orleans band, this marks a major international milestone, arriving at a moment of strong artistic and live growth.
Formed by Caspian Halliwell and RJ Santos, the Twisted Teens have shaped their identity through an explosive blend of punk, garage rock, rock’n’roll and Southern country influences. Their sound is raw, direct and instinctive, driven by gritty guitars, energetic rhythms and immediate melodies. It’s a formula that preserves a strong underground spirit while rapidly winning over an increasingly broad audience.
2026 has been an especially intense year. After Blame the Clown, released in January, the band dropped Florida Water Blues, an album that further strengthens their style and includes tracks such as Why Did You Miss It, Hand Me a Cigarette, Swamp, Riding and the title track Florida Water Blues. With the new deal, Sub Pop will handle the album’s international distribution, while Going Underground will continue to oversee it in North America.
The signing comes just two years after their self‑titled 2024 debut and confirms how quickly the duo is rising within the American alternative scene. The agreement with Sub Pop could represent the decisive step from the underground to a truly international dimension.
At the same time, the band has announced a new run of shows. The tour kicks off on August 24 in Los Angeles, with a date at the Hollywood Palladium alongside the Breeders, and will continue through several cities across the United States and Canada. A new batch of dates will arrive in November, featuring shows with Kurt Vile and the Violators, including a highly anticipated return to their hometown of New Orleans.
The schedule will conclude in December with four shows in Australia, touching Melbourne, Meredith, Brisbane and Sydney. A path that perfectly captures the duo’s growth: from the small underground circuits of New Orleans to international stages, with collaborations and support slots alongside established names in the rock world.
