Brutte notizie per i fan degli ZZ Top. Frank Beard, storico batterista e membro fondatore della leggendaria band texana, si è temporaneamente ritirato dal tour in corso per motivi di salute. La notizia, diffusa nelle ultime ore, ha immediatamente acceso l’attenzione sul futuro immediato della formazione, attualmente impegnata in una serie di concerti tra Stati Uniti e Sud America.

Bad news for ZZ Top fans. Frank Beard, the band’s longtime drummer and founding member, has temporarily stepped away from the ongoing tour due to health issues.
The announcement, released in recent hours, immediately raised concerns about the group’s immediate future, as they are currently performing a series of shows across the United States and South America.
At the moment, no details have been shared regarding his condition or a possible return date. Official statements simply mention the need for a break for medical reasons.
Beard’s absence follows the cancellation of the Hollywood Bowl concert in Los Angeles, initially attributed to “unexpected personnel-related issues.” The drummer’s situation was later linked to that episode.
To keep the tour going, Michael Monahan — who has stepped in for Beard in the past — has taken over on drums, joining Billy Gibbons and Elwood Francis for this leg of the performances.
