Dopo undici lunghi anni di assenza dai palchi italiani, i Primus sono pronti a riabbracciare il pubblico del nostro Paese con un appuntamento destinato a entrare tra gli eventi rock più attesi dell'anno. La formazione guidata dall'inconfondibile Les Claypool farà infatti tappa a Milano venerdì 31 luglio 2026, per quella che era stata inizialmente annunciata come unica data italiana del tour europeo. Il concerto si terrà al Circolo Magnolia di Segrate (Milano), in via Circonvallazione Idroscalo 41, con inizio previsto alle ore 19:30. L'enorme richiesta di biglietti ha successivamente portato all'aggiunta di una seconda serata, fissata per sabato 1° agosto 2026, a conferma dell'entusiasmo che continua a circondare una delle band più originali e influenti della scena rock mondiale.
Nati a El Sobrante, in California, nel 1984, i Primus hanno costruito una carriera assolutamente fuori dagli schemi, diventando uno dei gruppi più riconoscibili e innovativi della musica alternativa. La loro proposta sonora sfugge a qualsiasi classificazione precisa, fondendo alternative metal, funk rock, progressive rock, experimental rock e influenze psichedeliche in un linguaggio musicale unico. Il marchio di fabbrica della band è senza dubbio il virtuosismo di Les Claypool, considerato uno dei bassisti più talentuosi e rivoluzionari della sua generazione. Il suo stile, caratterizzato da slap, tapping e linee di basso estremamente elaborate, ha contribuito a ridefinire il ruolo dello strumento nel rock contemporaneo.
Accanto a Claypool, la formazione vede il chitarrista Larry "Ler" LaLonde, musicista dal gusto eccentrico e sperimentale, mentre dietro le pelli siede oggi John Hoffman, entrato ufficialmente nella band dopo una lunga selezione internazionale che ha coinvolto migliaia di candidati. Canzoni caratterizzate da ritmiche imprevedibili, testi surreali e una continua ricerca sonora che ha reso la band un punto di riferimento per intere generazioni di musicisti.
Pur non avendo mai inseguito il successo commerciale delle grandi produzioni mainstream, i Primus hanno saputo conquistare un seguito fedele in tutto il mondo, diventando una vera e propria band di culto. Primus in Milan: After Eleven Years, the Legendary Alternative Metal/Funk Rock Band Returns to Italy
Primus return to Italy after eleven long years, ready to reconnect with their Italian audience with a show destined to become one of the most anticipated rock events of the year.
The band led by the unmistakable Les Claypool will stop in Milan on Friday, 31 July 2026, for what had initially been announced as the group’s only Italian date on their European tour. The concert will take place at Circolo Magnolia in Segrate (Milan), at Via Circonvallazione Idroscalo 41, with a scheduled start time of 7:30 PM. The overwhelming demand for tickets later led to the addition of a second night, set for Saturday, 1 August 2026, confirming the enthusiasm that continues to surround one of the most original and influential bands in the global rock scene.
