A ventuno anni dall'uscita di Fused (2005), Tony Iommi rompe finalmente il silenzio discografico e inaugura un nuovo capitolo della sua carriera solista. Lo storico chitarrista e fondatore dei Black Sabbath ha pubblicato "World Alone", primo singolo estratto dal nuovo album From The Dark, la cui uscita è fissata per il 23 ottobre 2026 tramite BMG.
L'annuncio, arrivato oggi dopo alcuni giorni di teaser pubblicati sui social, mette fine a un'attesa che i fan coltivavano da oltre due decenni. From The Dark rappresenta infatti il primo album solista di inediti di Iommi dai tempi di Fused e il suo ritorno sulle scene dopo gli ultimi intensi anni trascorsi tra la reunion finale dei Black Sabbath e numerose collaborazioni speciali.

From The Dark is in fact Iommi’s first solo album of original material since Fused, marking his return to the spotlight after years spent between Black Sabbath’s final reunion and numerous special collaborations.
The new record was recorded with vocalist Jørn Lande, one of the most acclaimed voices in European heavy metal, bassist Becky Baldwin, and drummer Karl Brazil.
