L'attesa è finita: saranno i Dogstar ad aprire il loro tour italiano 2026 con un appuntamento imperdibile nella Capitale. Sabato 11 luglio, alle ore 21.00, la band salirà sul palco della Cavea dell'Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone di Roma nell'ambito del Roma Summer Fest, dando ufficialmente il via alla serie di concerti italiani che vedranno protagonista il trio guidato dal bassista Keanu Reeves.
Dopo la tappa romana, il tour proseguirà domenica 12 luglio alla Fiera del Levante di Bari, martedì 14 luglio al Pordenone Blues & Co. Festival e mercoledì 15 luglio al Teatro degli Arcimboldi di Milano, confermando l'Italia come una delle tappe centrali del lungo tour europeo della band.
I Dogstar rappresentano una delle realtà più interessanti dell'alternative rock americano. Formati a Los Angeles nel 1991, sono composti da Bret Domrose alla voce e alla chitarra, Robert Mailhouse alla batteria e Keanu Reeves al basso. Sebbene la presenza della celebre star di Hollywood abbia inevitabilmente attirato l'attenzione del grande pubblico, la band ha sempre costruito il proprio percorso puntando sulla musica, lontano dai riflettori del cinema e privilegiando un'identità artistica autentica.
Nel corso degli anni Novanta il gruppo ha pubblicato gli album Our Little Visionary e Happy Ending, conquistando un seguito fedele grazie a un sound che fonde alternative rock, post-grunge e influenze indie. Dopo lo scioglimento nei primi anni Duemila, i Dogstar sono tornati insieme nel 2023, sorprendendo i fan con una reunion accolta con entusiasmo e con l'album Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, primo lavoro in studio dopo oltre vent'anni di silenzio. On Saturday, 11 July at 9:00 PM, the band will take the stage of the Cavea at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone as part of the Roma Summer Fest, officially launching the Italian leg of their tour — a series of dates that will spotlight the trio led by bassist Keanu Reeves.
