Yngwie Malmsteen ha confermato l'arrivo del suo nuovo album in studio. Il celebre chitarrista svedese pubblicherà infatti “Hell Or High Water” nel mese di novembre, segnando il ritorno discografico con un lavoro che, a suo dire, rappresenta pienamente la sua visione artistica e musicale.
L'annuncio è arrivato nel corso di un'intervista concessa al programma The Metal Voice, durante la quale Malmsteen ha rivelato che il disco è ormai completato e pronto per la pubblicazione. Il musicista si è detto particolarmente soddisfatto del risultato finale, sottolineando l'entusiasmo per un progetto che ha richiesto mesi di intenso lavoro in studio.
Secondo quanto anticipato dal chitarrista, “Hell Or High Water” sarà composto da nove brani più una traccia bonus, per una durata complessiva di 46 minuti. Una scelta non casuale: Malmsteen ha infatti spiegato di aver voluto mantenere il disco entro una precisa soglia temporale per valorizzarne la pubblicazione anche nel formato vinile. Nonostante disponga di ulteriore materiale già pronto, ha preferito concentrarsi su una selezione di composizioni che garantisse compattezza e coerenza all'ascolto.
Dal punto di vista musicale, l'album promette di riportare in primo piano tutte le caratteristiche che hanno reso Malmsteen una figura di riferimento assoluta nel panorama della chitarra rock e metal. Le dichiarazioni rilasciate nelle ultime settimane confermano ora che il lavoro è stato ultimato e si avvia verso la fase finale che precede la pubblicazione.

Yngwie Malmsteen has confirmed the arrival of his new studio album.
The legendary Swedish guitarist will release Hell Or High Water in November, marking his recording comeback with a work that, in his own words, fully represents his artistic and musical vision.
The announcement came during an interview with The Metal Voice, where Malmsteen revealed that the album is now completed and ready for release. The musician expressed great satisfaction with the final result, highlighting his enthusiasm for a project that required months of intense studio work.
According to Malmsteen, Hell Or High Water will feature nine tracks plus a bonus song, for a total running time of 46 minutes. A deliberate choice: he explained that he wanted to keep the album within a specific time frame to optimize its release on vinyl. Although he has additional material already recorded, he preferred to focus on a selection that would ensure cohesion and consistency.
Musically, the album promises to bring back all the elements that have made Malmsteen a defining figure in the world of rock and metal guitar. The new compositions are deeply rooted in his signature neoclassical approach, with plenty of virtuosity, classical‑inspired melodies and elaborate structures. Of the ten tracks included, four will feature vocals, while the rest will be instrumental.
The guitarist had already hinted at the project in April 2026 during his appearance at the Monsters of Rock festival in São Paulo, Brazil, where he revealed he had spent about five consecutive months in the studio completing the recordings. His recent statements now confirm that the work is finished and entering the final phase before release.
