I Faith No More sono tornati a far parlare di sé dopo la pubblicazione di un enigmatico teaser sui propri canali ufficiali. Il breve contenuto, apparso sui profili social della band, mostra esclusivamente il celebre logo del gruppo accompagnato dalla scritta “2027”, senza ulteriori dettagli o spiegazioni.
Un messaggio essenziale che è però bastato a riaccendere l'entusiasmo dei fan di tutto il mondo e ad alimentare le speculazioni su un possibile ritorno della formazione californiana. Al momento non sono state rilasciate dichiarazioni ufficiali né da parte della band né dal management, ma il riferimento all'anno 2027 ha immediatamente fatto nascere ipotesi che spaziano da una reunion vera e propria a un tour celebrativo, fino alla possibile pubblicazione di materiale inedito.

Album come The Real Thing (1989), Angel Dust (1992) e King for a Day... Per ora il significato del misterioso “2027” resta sconosciuto. A minimal message — yet more than enough to reignite excitement among fans worldwide and fuel speculation about a possible return of the Californian band. No official statements have been released by either the group or their management, but the reference to the year 2027 immediately sparked theories ranging from a full reunion to a celebratory tour, all the way to the potential release of new material.
Faith No More have not performed live since 2016. In 2020, the band had announced a series of concerts meant to mark their comeback, but plans were postponed and eventually cancelled. In 2021 and 2022, all scheduled activities were suspended, as singer Mike Patton stepped back to address issues related to his mental health.
