Senigallia si prepara a ospitare la venticinquesima edizione del Summer Jamboree, il Festival Internazionale di musica e cultura dell’America anni ’40 e ’50, in programma dall’1 al 10 agosto 2025. Un appuntamento che trasforma la città marchigiana in un autentico jukebox a cielo aperto, coinvolgendo il centro storico, il lungomare e location simboliche come la Rotonda a Mare, Piazza Garibaldi, Foro Annonario, Rocca Roveresca e Piazza del Duca.
Il cartellone 2025 si distingue per la presenza di artisti internazionali provenienti da Stati Uniti, Australia, Regno Unito, Germania, Francia, Spagna e Italia. Tra i nomi confermati: Vel Omarr, Ruby Turner, Curtis Salgado, Les Greene, Pete Molinari, The Spunyboys, The Velvet Candles, Slim Sandy’s Atomic Cocktails, The Revolutionaires, Lucky Lucianos, The RattleStrings, Abbey Town Jazz Orchestra e molti altri. La house band sarà The Good Fellas, affiancata dai backing band Don Diego Trio e Di Maggio Connection.
Oltre ai concerti live, il festival propone dj set da mezzogiorno all’alba con selezioni di swing, rock’n’roll, doo-wop, rhythm’n’blues e western swing. Tra i dj internazionali: Maltese Falcon, Rockin’ Cat, Elwood, Elliot Kirby, James Ventrella, Giusy Wild, Rocketeer, Big Ten Inch, Natty Bo, Jay Cee, Cannonball, Vangelis, Skinny Mule, Madame Dynamite e Ol’Woogies.
Una novità assoluta dell’edizione 2025 è la “Nightly Live: Balcony Jam Session”, che si terrà ogni notte (escluso il 7 agosto) sulla terrazza della Rotonda a Mare. Musicisti del festival daranno vita a sessioni improvvisate, senza scalette, in un’atmosfera intima e coinvolgente, condotte da Paolo Fioretti dei Varnellis.
Il Summer Jamboree non è solo musica: il programma include corsi gratuiti di ballo swing, il Dance Camp con insegnanti di fama mondiale, il Burlesque Show con performer internazionali, il Vintage Market con espositori selezionati da tutta Europa, il Barber Shop per acconciature in stile anni ’50, il Walk-in Tattoo, il Rockin’ Village e il Free Boot Sale.
Il 5 agosto si terrà l’Hera Dance Contest in Piazza Garibaldi, una gara di ballo a coppie “Open Level” con giuria composta dagli insegnanti del Dance Camp. Le iscrizioni sono gratuite e aperte fino alla sera stessa.
Tra gli eventi più attesi, il celebre Hawaiian Beach Party sulla spiaggia di Senigallia, con musica dal vivo e balli fino all’alba. Le serate alla Rotonda a Mare offrono un’esperienza unica: social dance sotto le stelle, accompagnate da una colonna sonora che attraversa i decenni d’oro della musica americana.
Il festival celebra anche l’estetica dell’epoca con la parata di auto d’epoca, esposizioni di jukebox, vinili, abbigliamento vintage, oggetti da collezione e accessori retrò. La città si veste di rock’n’roll, accogliendo visitatori da tutto il mondo in un’atmosfera di festa, condivisione e stile.
Con oltre 350.000 presenze annuali, il Summer Jamboree è considerato il più grande festival vintage d’Europa e uno dei principali al mondo nel suo genere. La manifestazione è sostenuta dal Comune di Senigallia, dalla Regione Marche e dalla Camera di Commercio di Ancona.
L’edizione 2025 celebra il venticinquesimo anniversario del festival, confermando Senigallia come capitale europea del rock’n’roll e punto di riferimento per appassionati, artisti e curiosi. Un viaggio nel tempo che continua a ispirare nuove generazioni, mantenendo viva la cultura musicale e lo spirito dell’America degli anni ’40 e ’50.
SUMMER JAMBOREE: 25th EDITION
Senigallia is gearing up to host the 25th edition of the Summer Jamboree, the international festival celebrating 1940s and 1950s American music and culture, scheduled from August 1 to 10, 2025. The event transforms the charming town on the Adriatic coast into a giant open-air jukebox, taking over the historic center, the seafront, and iconic locations such as the Rotonda a Mare, Piazza Garibaldi, Foro Annonario, Rocca Roveresca, and Piazza del Duca.
The 2025 lineup features international artists from the United States, Australia, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. Among the confirmed names: Vel Omarr, Ruby Turner, Curtis Salgado, Les Greene, Pete Molinari, The Spunyboys, The Velvet Candles, Slim Sandy’s Atomic Cocktails, The Revolutionaires, Lucky Lucianos, The RattleStrings, Abbey Town Jazz Orchestra, and many more. In addition to the live concerts, the festival offers DJ sets from noon to dawn, featuring a wide range of genres including swing, rock’n’roll, doo-wop, rhythm’n’blues, and western swing. A brand-new highlight of the 2025 edition is the "Nightly Live: Balcony Jam Session", held every night (except August 7) on the terrace of the Rotonda a Mare. Festival musicians will gather for spontaneous, unscripted jam sessions in an intimate, engaging setting, hosted by Paolo Fioretti of The Varnellis.
But the Summer Jamboree is more than just music: the program also includes free swing dance lessons, the Dance Camp with world-renowned instructors, an international Burlesque Show, a curated Vintage Market with exhibitors from across Europe, a Barber Shop offering 1950s-style grooming, Walk-in Tattoo booths, the Rockin’ Village, and the Free Boot Sale.
On August 5, Piazza Garibaldi will host the Hera Dance Contest, an "Open Level" couple’s dance competition judged by the Dance Camp instructors. Participation is free and open until the evening of the event.
Among the most eagerly awaited moments is the iconic Hawaiian Beach Party on the Senigallia shoreline, featuring live music and dancing until sunrise. The nights at the Rotonda a Mare provide a magical setting for social dancing under the stars, with a soundtrack that spans the golden decades of American music.
The festival also celebrates the aesthetics of the era with a vintage car parade, jukebox exhibitions, vinyl and retro clothing displays, and collectibles and accessories from the period. The entire city embraces the rock’n’roll spirit, welcoming visitors from around the world into a vibrant, stylish, and inclusive atmosphere.
With over 350,000 annual attendees, the Summer Jamboree is considered Europe’s largest vintage festival and one of the world’s premier events of its kind. It is supported by the Municipality of Senigallia, the Marche Region, and the Chamber of Commerce of Ancona.
