EDDIE 9V AND DAN AUERBACH: AN EXPLOSIVE MEETING OF BLUES AND ROCK
A musical encounter blending blues, Southern rock and soul: Eddie 9V is set to release his new album, Down Here, produced by Dan Auerbach, guitarist and vocalist of The Black Keys. The record will officially arrive on Friday, November 6, 2026, via Easy Eye Sound, marking an important new chapter in the artistic development of the American musician.
Recorded at the renowned Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, the new album features 12 tracks and is the result of an intense creative collaboration between Eddie 9V and Auerbach. This partnership has allowed the Atlanta-based guitarist to explore new musical directions while remaining firmly rooted in the blues and embracing sounds inspired by Southern rock, funk, gospel and R&B.
Auerbach's production played a key role in bringing the album to life. Accustomed to writing, performing and producing much of his own music, Eddie 9V embraced a more collaborative approach this time around, working alongside experienced musicians and songwriters. Among the guests involved in the recording sessions are Marcus King, as well as songwriters Pat McLaughlin and Daniel Tashian.
Several singles have already offered a preview of the album, including Blowin' Up, Whole Lot Coming For You, Rock Your Baby — a reinterpretation of George McCrae's celebrated 1974 hit — and Satisfy The Way I Do, released on October 8, 2026. The latter particularly highlights the musical chemistry between Eddie 9V and Auerbach, who helped develop the chorus and further shape the track's sonic identity.
The result is an album built around spontaneous performances, the energy of live instrumentation and a warm, authentic sound. Influences from the American musical tradition intertwine with a contemporary sensibility, creating a record that moves between blues, rock, soul and country while retaining its creator's distinctive personality.
This collaboration follows a particularly significant period for Eddie 9V. During 2026, he also had the opportunity to support The Black Keys on several dates of their tour and share the television experience with the band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
As for live performances, the artist has already announced new US dates for early 2027, kicking off on January 15 in Greenville, South Carolina, and wrapping up on February 27 in Denver, Colorado. UK dates are also scheduled for March 2027, with stops in Bristol, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Faversham and Southampton.
With Down Here, Eddie 9V takes another significant step forward in his career, joining forces with one of the most distinctive producers in the American rock scene. A collaboration set to appeal especially to fans of contemporary blues, Southern rock and authentic roots music, further confirming the talent of an artist whose profile continues to rise on the international music scene.
