The Bay Area thrash metal veterans will celebrate one of the most important records of their career, bringing back to the stage the songs that helped cement their reputation on the international metal scene.
Organized by Hardline Media, the tour marks the band’s first Australian run in almost a decade. Released during a period of artistic growth, Act III remains a pivotal chapter in the Death Angel discography, renowned for blending the speed and aggression of thrash metal with strong melodies and more sophisticated songwriting.
The itinerary includes five performances: January 30, 2027 in Adelaide as part of the Froth & Fury Festival, January 31 in Perth at Magnet House, February 3 in Melbourne at Max Watts, February 4 in Sydney at Manning Bar, and February 5 in Brisbane at Crowbar.
The Adelaide appearance will be part of the festival format and, due to time constraints, will not feature the complete album performance. The remaining shows, however, will showcase Act III in full, alongside a selection of classic tracks spanning the band’s career.
Originally released in 1990, Act III represented a major step forward in the group’s musical evolution, revealing a more diverse approach to songwriting while retaining the power and intensity that defined its earlier work. Songs such as “Seemingly Endless Time,” “Stop,” and “A Room with a View” highlighted the album’s stylistic range and the band’s ambition to push the boundaries of thrash metal.
VIP packages and ticket pre-sales are scheduled to begin on October 15, 2026, while general ticket sales are expected to start on October 20. For Australian fans, this tour promises a unique opportunity to experience a record that, more than thirty-five years after its release, continues to be regarded as a cornerstone of thrash metal.
Beyond celebrating a classic album, the tour will also offer fans the chance to revisit a defining era in Death Angel’s history, paying tribute to a release whose musical identity remains as powerful and relevant as ever.
