THE DEAD DAISIES CHANGE FRONTMAN: KELLY HANSEN JOINS THE BAND

A new singer, a renewed lineup, and the start of a fresh chapter for The Dead Daisies. The hard rock outfit has officially announced the arrival of Kelly Hansen, former frontman of Foreigner, who takes over vocal duties from John Corabi and becomes the band's new lead singer. The move marks a significant turning point in the history of the Australian-American rock group.

Hansen joins The Dead Daisies after spending two decades with Foreigner, a band he joined in 2005 and with which he built an impressive international touring career. His departure from Foreigner was never intended as a farewell to music, however. The singer had already made it clear that he was not retiring, but simply looking forward to embracing new creative opportunities.

This new venture also brings a meaningful connection to the past. Hansen is reunited with Doug Aldrich, guitarist for The Dead Daisies and his former bandmate in Hurricane. The two musicians played together during the late 1980s and early 1990s, and now find themselves sharing the stage again more than three decades later.

The new lineup features Kelly Hansen on vocals, Doug Aldrich and David Lowy on guitars, Jimi Crutchley on bass, and Tommy Clufetos on drums. Built around musicians with extensive international rock credentials, the lineup aims to inject fresh energy into the band while preserving the hard rock identity that has defined The Dead Daisies since day one.

Officially launching this new era is "Lift Me Up," the first single to feature Hansen on lead vocals. Built around a driving guitar riff and a powerful groove, the track evolves into a highly melodic anthem. Its message focuses on positivity and the ability of music to provide strength, inspiration, and an escape during difficult times.

The lineup change will not remain confined to the studio. The Dead Daisies have already mapped out an extensive live schedule for 2027, with performances planned across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Scandinavia. The European tour is set to begin in March and will include a stop in Italy on March 16, 2027, at Magazzini Generali in Milan.

Meanwhile, 2026 will be dedicated to completing the band's next studio album, which is expected to arrive in 2027. For The Dead Daisies, this represents the beginning of a completely new phase. Hansen brings a distinctive voice and decades of international experience, while his reunion with Doug Aldrich adds a sense of continuity and history to the group's future direction.

One thing is already certain: with "Lift Me Up," a new era for The Dead Daisies is officially underway. With a new album on the horizon and an international tour already in the works, the band appears determined to make a powerful return to the spotlight, driven by the same hard rock spirit that has always defined its sound.
