La tracklist comprende, tra gli altri, Freedom, Why Don’t You Look Into Jesus, Water Into Wine, I Don’t Drink the Whiskey Anymore, Me and Jesus, God Is Good, Into the Setting Sun, Broken Hearted People, ‘Til You Can’t, High Road e Procession. A chiudere l’album sarà God Bless the USA.

“James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)” è già disponibile in streaming e sulle principali piattaforme digitali, mentre “Halfway to Jesus” arriverà il 17 ottobre 2026.

KID ROCK RETURNS WITH “HALFWAY TO JESUS”: “JAMES 1:17” OUT NOW

Kid Rock has launched a new chapter in his career with “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),” the lead single from Halfway to Jesus, his upcoming studio album set for release on October 17, 2026. Available since October 1 on major digital platforms, the track offers the first glimpse of a project entirely centered on the artist’s Christian faith.

With Halfway to Jesus, Kid Rock explores a musical and lyrical direction deeply rooted in spirituality while continuing to blend the rock, country, and hip-hop influences that have defined various stages of his career. The album will feature 17 tracks and arrives four years after Bad Reputation, released in 2022.

The new single, “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),” takes its title from the New Testament verse it references. The title also carries a personal meaning for Kid Rock, whose full name is Robert James Ritchie. The song introduces the central theme of the entire project, which revolves around faith, self-reflection, and a personal relationship with Jesus.

An official music video has also been released, filmed at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk in Nashville. The video is dedicated to Jimmie Bones, Kid Rock’s longtime keyboard player, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2024, and to Kalvin Lynch, a fan living with an inoperable brain tumor who, through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, had the opportunity to play drums alongside Kid Rock.

Halfway to Jesus will feature an extensive tracklist and several guest appearances. Among the most notable is a collaboration with Eminem on the song “7 Sins,” reuniting two artists from the Detroit area whose connection dates back to the early days of Eminem’s career. The album will also feature Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts and Jimmie Allen on the track “Halfway 2 Jesus.”

The album’s tracklist includes, among others, “Freedom,” “Why Don’t You Look Into Jesus,” “Water Into Wine,” “I Don’t Drink the Whiskey Anymore,” “Me and Jesus,” “God Is Good,” “Into the Setting Sun,” “Broken Hearted People,” “‘Til You Can’t,” “High Road,” and “Procession.” The record closes with “God Bless the USA.”

The project stems from a personal journey that Kid Rock has spoken about publicly in recent months. The artist has explained that he wanted to create music celebrating his faith through a blend of rock ’n’ roll, country, and hip-hop, seeking an artistic expression that reflects his own spiritual path.

With “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),” Kid Rock officially begins the campaign leading up to the release of Halfway to Jesus on October 17, 2026. The 17-track album marks his first full-length studio effort since Bad Reputation and places themes of faith, reflection, and personal experience at the center of his music.

“James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)” is available now on streaming services and major digital platforms, while Halfway to Jesus is scheduled for release on October 17, 2026.
