Gli Iron Maiden celebrano il loro 50° anniversario con un'imponente uscita dedicata alla prima e leggendaria fase della loro carriera. Si intitola 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980–1992 ed è un box set da collezione che riunisce i primi nove album in studio della band britannica, dagli esordi fino a Fear of the Dark. La pubblicazione è fissata per l'11 dicembre 2026.
Il cofanetto propone un vero viaggio attraverso gli anni più importanti della storia degli Iron Maiden. Al suo interno troviamo l'omonimo Iron Maiden del 1980, Killers (1981), The Number of the Beast (1982), Piece of Mind (1983), Powerslave (1984), Somewhere in Time (1986), Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988), No Prayer for the Dying (1990) e, infine, Fear of the Dark (1992).
Sono nove album distribuiti su dieci LP, con Fear of the Dark presentato su un doppio vinile. Ogni disco è stato realizzato in una specifica colorazione: dall'oro e rosso del debutto al rosso di Killers, passando per il vinile argento di The Number of the Beast, il giallo di Piece of Mind, l'oro di Powerslave e l'oxblood di Somewhere in Time. Completano la collezione il vinile bianco di Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, quello verde oliva di No Prayer for the Dying e i due vinili blu e giallo di Fear of the Dark.
La scelta degli album non è casuale: il periodo 1980-1992 racchiude una delle sequenze discografiche più celebri dell'heavy metal. È l'epoca che vede gli Iron Maiden passare dall'irruenza degli esordi alla definitiva consacrazione internazionale, costruendo un'identità musicale fatta di riff potenti, cavalcate ritmiche, armonizzazioni di chitarra e grandi narrazioni epiche.

Iron Maiden celebrate their 50th anniversary with a monumental release dedicated to the first and most legendary phase of their career. Titled 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980–1992, it is a collector’s box set gathering the band’s first nine studio albums, from their debut up to Fear of the Dark. The release is scheduled for December 11, 2026.
The box offers a true journey through the most defining years in Iron Maiden’s history. Inside are the 1980 self‑titled Iron Maiden, Killers (1981), The Number of the Beast (1982), Piece of Mind (1983), Powerslave (1984), Somewhere in Time (1986), Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988), No Prayer for the Dying (1990) and, finally, Fear of the Dark (1992).
These nine albums are spread across ten LPs, with Fear of the Dark presented as a double vinyl. Each record comes in a specific color variant: gold and red for the debut, red for Killers, silver for The Number of the Beast, yellow for Piece of Mind, gold for Powerslave and oxblood for Somewhere in Time. Completing the collection are the white vinyl of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, the olive‑green vinyl of No Prayer for the Dying, and the blue and yellow double vinyl of Fear of the Dark.
