I Blue Medusa tornano sotto i riflettori con “Crocodile”, il nuovo singolo pubblicato il 4 settembre 2026. Il brano rappresenta il terzo capitolo discografico del progetto guidato da Alissa White-Gluz, dopo i precedenti “Checkmate” e “Flying Monkey”.
“Crocodile” si sviluppa attraverso atmosfere oscure, tese e inquietanti, costruite attorno alla sensazione istintiva che qualcosa di pericoloso possa nascondersi nelle vicinanze, anche quando non è possibile individuarlo. Al centro del progetto Blue Medusa c’è Alissa White-Gluz, cantante canadese conosciuta a livello internazionale per la sua esperienza prima con The Agonist e, successivamente, con gli Arch Enemy. Con The Agonist, formazione della quale è stata una delle fondatrici, ha contribuito a definire un sound caratterizzato dall'incontro tra metal estremo, melodie e una notevole varietà vocale. Nel 2014 è entrata negli Arch Enemy, raccogliendo l'eredità di Angela Gossow e diventando, negli anni, una delle frontwoman più riconoscibili della scena metal contemporanea.
Con Blue Medusa, Alissa White-Gluz apre ora un nuovo capitolo della propria carriera, accompagnata da una formazione tutta al femminile composta dalle chitarriste Alyssa Day e Dani Sophia, dalla bassista Alicia Vigil e dalla batterista Delaney Jaster. The Blue Medusa return to the spotlight with “Crocodile”, the new single released on September 4, 2026. The track marks the third chapter in the project led by Alissa White‑Gluz, following the previous singles “Checkmate” and “Flying Monkey”.
“Crocodile” unfolds through dark, tense and unsettling atmospheres, built around the instinctive feeling that something dangerous may be lurking nearby, even when it cannot be clearly identified. The song plays with the contrast between what appears familiar and safe and that persistent sense of threat creeping beneath the surface.
At the center of Blue Medusa is Alissa White‑Gluz, the Canadian vocalist internationally known for her work first with The Agonist and later with Arch Enemy. With The Agonist — a band she co‑founded — she helped shape a sound defined by the blend of extreme metal, melody and remarkable vocal versatility. In 2014 she joined Arch Enemy, taking over from Angela Gossow and becoming, over the years, one of the most recognizable frontwomen in contemporary metal.
