È tutto pronto per il Summer Metal 2026, uno degli appuntamenti più attesi dell'estate italiana dedicati agli appassionati della musica estrema. La manifestazione tornerà da venerdì 7 a domenica 9 agosto 2026 presso la Summer Music Arena di Lonca di Codroipo, in provincia di Udine, a pochi passi dalla suggestiva cornice di Villa Manin, confermandosi ancora una volta come un punto di riferimento per gli amanti del metal provenienti da tutta Italia e dall'estero.
Anche per questa edizione gli organizzatori confermano una delle caratteristiche che hanno contribuito al successo del festival negli anni: l'ingresso sarà completamente gratuito per tutte e tre le giornate, offrendo così al pubblico la possibilità di assistere a un ricco programma di concerti senza alcun costo.
Il festival prenderà il via venerdì 7 agosto, con l'inizio delle esibizioni previsto alle ore 20:00. A guidare la prima serata saranno i tedeschi Servant, una delle realtà più interessanti dell'attuale scena black metal europea. Prima di loro saliranno sul palco gli italiani Bianca, Duir e The Dead Flowers Graves, dando vita a una serata all'insegna delle sonorità più oscure e intense.
Il programma entrerà nel vivo sabato 8 agosto, con apertura dei concerti alle 18:00. Headliner della giornata saranno i francesi Nocturnal Depression, formazione di culto del depressive black metal internazionale, molto apprezzata per le sue atmosfere malinconiche e profonde. La line-up vedrà inoltre protagonisti gli italiani Sedna, Unviâr, Via ad Mortem ed Ergot, insieme agli sloveni Ensanguinate e ai giapponesi Ethereal Sin, una delle band più rappresentative della scena black metal del Sol Levante. Una giornata che offrirà al pubblico un'interessante panoramica sulle diverse sfumature della musica estrema contemporanea.
Gran finale domenica 9 agosto, sempre con inizio alle 18:00, affidato ai peruviani Anal Vomit, nome storico del black e death metal sudamericano, conosciuti per la loro energia travolgente dal vivo. A completare il cartellone della serata saranno Ural, R.I.O.T., progetto internazionale formato da musicisti ucraini e cechi, oltre a Terbiocide, Warmblood, Spritzfire e Hounds Of Devil, per una conclusione che promette grande intensità e spettacolo.
Il Summer Metal non è soltanto una successione di concerti, ma rappresenta un vero punto d'incontro per la comunità metal. Durante tutte le giornate saranno infatti presenti chioschi gastronomici, punti ristoro, stand di etichette discografiche indipendenti, distro specializzate e numerosi espositori dove sarà possibile acquistare CD, vinili, merchandise ufficiale, libri e materiale dedicato alla scena metal underground. I chioschi apriranno un'ora prima dell'inizio dei concerti, permettendo al pubblico di vivere l'atmosfera del festival fin dal pomeriggio.
Grazie a una line-up internazionale, a un'organizzazione ormai consolidata e alla formula a ingresso gratuito, il Summer Metal continua a distinguersi come uno degli eventi più importanti del panorama metal italiano. Tre giornate dedicate alla passione per la musica estrema, alla scoperta di band provenienti da diversi Paesi e alla condivisione di un'esperienza che ogni anno richiama centinaia di appassionati nella splendida cornice di Lonca di Codroipo.

SUMMER METAL 2026: FULL FESTIVAL LINE‑UP REVEALED
Everything is ready for Summer Metal 2026, one of the most anticipated Italian summer events dedicated to fans of extreme music. The festival will return from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 August 2026 at the Summer Music Arena in Lonca di Codroipo (Udine), just a few steps from the evocative setting of Villa Manin, confirming once again its status as a key gathering point for metal fans from across Italy and abroad.
As in previous editions, the organizers maintain one of the festival’s most distinctive and successful features: admission will be completely free for all three days, giving the audience the chance to enjoy a rich schedule of concerts at no cost.
The festival kicks off on Friday 7 August, with performances starting at 20:00. Leading the opening night will be Germany’s Servant, one of the most intriguing acts in today’s European black metal scene. Before them, Italian bands Bianca, Duir and The Dead Flowers Graves will take the stage, setting the tone for an evening steeped in dark and intense sounds.
The program comes fully alive on Saturday 8 August, with concerts beginning at 18:00. Headlining the day are France’s Nocturnal Depression, a cult name in international depressive black metal, widely appreciated for their melancholic and immersive atmospheres. The line‑up also features Italian acts Sedna, Unviâr, Via ad Mortem and Ergot, alongside Slovenia’s Ensanguinate and Japan’s Ethereal Sin, one of the most representative bands of the Japanese black metal scene. A day offering the audience a compelling overview of the many shades of contemporary extreme music.
The grand finale on Sunday 9 August, again starting at 18:00, will be led by Peru’s Anal Vomit, a historic name in South American black and death metal, renowned for their explosive live energy. Completing the evening’s bill are Ural, R.I.O.T. — an international project featuring Ukrainian and Czech musicians — along with Terbiocide, Warmblood, Spritzfire and Hounds Of Devil, for a closing night that promises intensity and spectacle.
Summer Metal is not just a succession of concerts — it is a true meeting point for the metal community. Throughout the festival, visitors will find food stands, refreshment areas, independent record‑label booths, specialized distros and numerous vendors offering CDs, vinyl, official merchandise, books and material dedicated to the underground metal scene. The stands will open one hour before the concerts, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere from the afternoon onward.
Thanks to its international line‑up, solid organization and free‑entry formula, Summer Metal continues to stand out as one of the most important events in the Italian metal landscape. Three days devoted to extreme music, to discovering bands from different countries and to sharing an experience that attracts hundreds of fans every year to the beautiful setting of Lonca di Codroipo.
