La band svedese Opeth, tra le più influenti del panorama progressive e death metal mondiale, tornerà in Italia nell’estate 2026 per due date esclusive. Il primo appuntamento è fissato per venerdì 10 luglio all’iconico Anfiteatro degli Scavi di Pompei, luogo carico di storia e già teatro di leggendari live come quello dei Pink Floyd nel 1971. Il giorno successivo, sabato 11 luglio, la band si esibirà al Sequoie Music Park di Bologna.
Il concerto di Pompei rientra nella terza edizione del festival Beats of Pompeii, che celebra il connubio tra musica e archeologia. Gli Opeth, guidati dal carismatico Mikael Åkerfeldt, porteranno sul palco una selezione di brani storici e pezzi tratti dal loro ultimo album, The Last Will and Testament, pubblicato nel 2025. La performance promette di essere un viaggio sonoro tra atmosfere oscure, passaggi acustici e complesse architetture musicali.
