Il Karst Rock Fest torna anche quest’anno con la sua quarta edizione, confermandosi come uno degli appuntamenti più attesi per gli appassionati delle sonorità hard’n’heavy nel Nord Est italiano. L’evento si terrà sabato 5 luglio 2025 nel suggestivo Piazzale del Comune di Sgonico, in provincia di Trieste, e promette una giornata di pura energia, condivisione e spirito underground.
Nato con l’intento di valorizzare il territorio carsico e la sua cultura attraverso la musica rock e metal, il festival è organizzato dal “Ministero del Metallo”, un’associazione attiva dal 2011 nella promozione della scena heavy nazionale e internazionale. Il Karst Rock Fest si distingue per la sua vocazione inclusiva: palco aperto a band emergenti e underground, affiancate da nomi più affermati, in un contesto che favorisce l’incontro tra generazioni e stili diversi.
L’edizione 2025 vedrà come headliner un’icona assoluta del rock italiano: Pino Scotto. Il carismatico frontman, noto per la sua carriera con i Vanadium e per la sua presenza incendiaria sui palchi e in TV, porterà a Sgonico la sua inconfondibile carica con brani tratti dal nuovo album “The Devil’s Call” e dal suo vasto repertorio. La sua partecipazione rappresenta un vero e proprio tributo alla storia del rock tricolore.
Accanto a lui, saliranno sul palco sei band selezionate tra oltre cinquanta candidature pervenute da tutta Italia e dalla vicina Slovenia. La lineup ufficiale comprende:
- USERS (Slovenia), con il loro sound potente e moderno
- ANTIDEM (Trieste), portatori di un metal diretto e senza compromessi
- CHAINS (Slovenia), tra doom e sludge con atmosfere cupe e viscerali
- ARTEMISIA (Gorizia), band female-fronted dalle tinte gothic e sinfoniche
- DARK POOLS (Trieste), già noti per le loro esibizioni intense e coinvolgenti
- SFREGIO (Genova), con un crossover tra hardcore e metal che promette scintille
L’ingresso al festival è completamente gratuito, in linea con la filosofia dell’organizzazione che punta a rendere la cultura musicale accessibile a tutti. I concerti inizieranno alle 17:30 e proseguiranno fino a tarda sera, in un crescendo di decibel e adrenalina.
Il Karst Rock Fest non è solo musica: è anche socialità, passione e territorio. Il festival si svolge in un contesto naturale unico, tra le rocce e i boschi del Carso triestino, a pochi chilometri dal confine sloveno. Un luogo che diventa simbolo di unione culturale e musicale, dove le barriere geografiche si dissolvono sotto il peso delle chitarre distorte.
L’evento è reso possibile grazie al patrocinio del Comune di Sgonico, alla collaborazione tecnica di ForArt e alla conduzione della storica voce di Nami (TeleSuono), che accompagnerà il pubblico lungo tutta la giornata.

KARST ROCK FEST 2025
The Karst Rock Fest is back again this year for its fourth edition, confirming its status as one of the most anticipated events for hard’n’heavy music fans in northeastern Italy. The event will take place on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, in the scenic Piazzale del Comune of Sgonico, in the province of Trieste, and promises a day filled with pure energy, sharing, and underground spirit.
Founded with the aim of promoting the Karst region and its culture through rock and metal music, the festival is organized by Ministero del Metallo (“Ministry of Metal”), an association active since 2011 in supporting the national and international heavy music scene. Karst Rock Fest stands out for its inclusive nature: an open stage for emerging and underground bands, alongside more established names, in an environment that encourages connections across generations and musical styles.
The 2025 edition will feature as its headliner a true icon of Italian rock: Pino Scotto. The charismatic frontman, known for his career with Vanadium and his fiery presence on stage and TV, will bring his unmistakable energy to Sgonico with songs from his new album “The Devil’s Call” and his vast repertoire. His participation is a true tribute to the legacy of Italian rock.
Alongside him, six bands will take the stage, selected from over fifty applications received from all over Italy and neighboring Slovenia. The official lineup includes:

Entry to the festival is completely free, in line with the organization’s philosophy of making musical culture accessible to all. Concerts will start at 5:30 PM and continue late into the night, building up in a crescendo of decibels and adrenaline.
Karst Rock Fest is not just about music: it’s about community, passion, and place. The festival takes place in a unique natural setting, among the rocks and woods of the Triestine Karst, just a few kilometers from the Slovenian border.
