Dopo anni di attesa, indiscrezioni e rinvii, il progetto parallelo più misterioso legato agli Slipknot sta finalmente per vedere la luce. “Look Outside Your Window” uscirà ufficialmente il 12 giugno 2026 in vinile e CD, segnando la fine di un’era di segretezza durata quasi vent’anni. Per la community metal internazionale è un evento enorme: un album considerato per anni un vero “fantasma”, avvolto da un’aura di culto e da dichiarazioni enigmatiche dei membri della band.
Un progetto nato nell’ombra degli Slipknot
“Look Outside Your Window” non è un album Slipknot nel senso tradizionale. Fu registrato nel 2008 da Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson e Shawn “Clown” Crahan durante le sessioni di All Hope Is Gone, ma seguendo un percorso completamente diverso.
Il suono è lontano dalla furia tipica della band: più vicino a elettronica atmosferica, rock psichedelico, ambient sperimentale e arrangiamenti cinematici.
Le sessioni nacquero in una casa isolata dell’Iowa, durante registrazioni notturne senza pressioni commerciali. Loop minimali, organi, rumori astratti, campionamenti ambientali: un mondo sonoro lontanissimo dal caos Slipknot.

A project born in the shadows of Slipknot
Look Outside Your Window is not a Slipknot album in the traditional sense. It was recorded in 2008 by Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson and Shawn “Clown” Crahan during the All Hope Is Gone sessions, but followed a completely different creative path.
The sound is far removed from the band’s trademark aggression: closer to atmospheric electronics, psychedelic rock, experimental ambient and cinematic arrangements.
The sessions took place in an isolated house in rural Iowa, during late‑night recordings free from commercial pressure. Minimal loops, organs, abstract noises, environmental samples — a sonic world far removed from Slipknot’s usual chaos.
